Kansas City Royals recall Edward Olivares, option Lucius Fox

The Kansas City Royals recalled outfielder Edward Olivares from Triple-A Omaha on Saturday.

In a corresponding move, the team sent infielder Lucius Fox to Omaha.

Olivares, 25, is hitting .242 with one home run and two RBIs in 11 games with the Royals this season. In 52 games at Omaha, he has a .322 average with 13 home runs, 29 RBIs and 12 stolen bases.

Fox, 24, was called up by Kansas City on Friday and has yet to make his major league debut. In 27 games with three minor league teams this season, Fox is hitting .200 with a home run and nine RBIs.
