Julio Jones foot injury will keep him out of practices another 10-14 days

There is no cause for alarm (yet), but Julio Jones’ foot injury is keeping him out of Atlanta Falcons training camp, and it will for the next couple of weeks.

Jones showed up to camp despite not having a new contract extension, but the veteran receiver is dealing with yet another foot injury that is keeping him from practicing.

On Wednesday, head coach Dan Quinn told reporters he expects Jones’ injury to keep him from fully participating in practice for the next 10 days to two weeks.

Jones has dealt with foot injuries in the past, so there has to be at least a sliver of angst among Falcons brass. But every indication is that this current malady is a minor issue that won’t be a long-term problem.

The Falcons and Jones continue to work on a long-term extension, and both sides have expressed nothing but optimism that a deal will get hammered out in due course.
