Pittsburgh Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster knows how to have a good time, and get involved in his local community in the process.

The third-year star put on a huge party for fans on Saturday which he dubbed the First Annual Pittsburgh Water Balloon Party.

In addition to the water play (a spectacular idea in its own right), Smith-Schuster had blow-up slides and other attractions for kids to play on. He also participated in a dodgeball tournament.

That’s not all, either. Smith-Schuster paid for all the food that was consumed, along with paying the winners of the tournament out of his own pocket (or fanny pack, in this case).

During the event, Smith-Schuster opened up about why he put on the water balloon fight and community party.

“I have the money to do it,” he said in an interview with Chase Williams of WPXI. “I’m not doing it not just because it’s for my foundation or something. It’s just because I wanted to do it. It’s out of my free spirit. Everything out here is free. Have a fun time, enjoy yourself.”

One of the most engaging, most entertaining NFL players on social media, Smith-Schuster certainly has a bright future in the league, and clearly he does as an ambassador as well.
