Bre Tiesi might have been the best thing to happen to former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Their romantic relationship coincided with the former first-round pick getting sober off the field. It was Manziel’s way of getting his house in order.
Unfortunately, the two called it quits earlier in the year after Tiesi claimed Manziel cheated on her. She’s now made that official by filing for divorce in Los Angeles, per TMZ Sports.
Manziel had previously credited his soon-to-be ex-wife for saving his life.
On the field, Manziel has not suited up in an NFL game since 2015. The former Heisman winner and Browns starter last played in the now defunct AAF this past spring.
Should Manziel return to the NFL next season (highly unlikely) he’s still facing a suspension from the league.
Manziel has not been offered an opportunity to play in the start-up XFL, which debuts next spring.
