Prior to the Cleveland Browns bye in Week 11, the team named Johnny Manziel the starter after a successful Week 10 performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

So apparently taking the time to celebrate his promotion, Manziel was reportedly caught with a bottle of Dom in hand when he was spotted at Summit nightclub, in Austin, Texas, per TMZ Sports.

According to the report, witnesses told reporters that the bottle wasn’t a gimmick or prop and that he had been drinking in what was part of a two-night pub-crawl that started at RIO Rooftop the night before.

Considering Manziel commented that over his bye he was going to spend the time off relaxing just like his teammates do and that he wouldn’t do anything that would “be a distraction to this team or be an embarrassment to the organization”, his words couldn’t be further from the truth.

Since the photos/videos of Manziel leaked, the world has gone wild posting to social media a vast variety of reactions.

This story wouldn’t be nearly as attention-grabbing if Manziel hadn’t entered into a rehabilitation treatment facility back in January.

Regarding the photos and videoManziel declined to comment, saying he had not seen them yet, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.

As the Browns’ new starter, we will see Manziel under center in Monday Night Football in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens, provided he retains his current status.
