The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to take Joe Burrow with the No. 1 overall pick, and Burrow went on the record to express the same.

Speaking with the #PFTPM podcast Monday, Burrow said that while anything can happen he expects to be the first player selected in the draft.

“I have been watching the draft enough years that I know crazy things have happened and I have watched people on camera slip and then the camera stays in their face and all that stuff so I am keeping everything on the table,” Burrow said. “I expect to be number one but you know I am not positive about it.”

There are a lot of unknowns heading into Thursday’s first round, but Burrow going first overall is the exception. The Bengals have been talking up his potential since January, and it would take nothing short of a legendary draft haul to keep him from landing in Cincinnati for the 2020 season and beyond.
