Responding to two different reports from the NFL Network that some players want him out, San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh did not mince words in his press conference with local media on Monday.
He indicated that an open-door policy exists between him and other members of the 49ers organization when it comes to issues some may have with him.
When directly responding the reports that used unnamed sources, Harbaugh had this to say (via CSN Bay Area).
Personally, I think that’s a bunch of crap.
Interestingly enough, NFL Media’s Mike Silver seemed to back up what was recently reported in a conversation with me on social media today.
Tension in Niners locker room? Yes. Harbaugh future uncertain? Yes. Good enough to coach through it & win a title? Absolutely.

@VincentFrankNFL what's going on there is not normal. At all.

Silver went on to indicate that we will hear specifics about these reports at some point soon.
None of this has stopped Harbaugh from denying what is reportedly happening here.
Players have good ideas, coaches have good ideas. Equipment managers have good ideas. Trainers have good ideas. . . . strength coaches,” Harbaugh said. “(I) welcome that. If we’re not doing something right or there’s a better way to do it, let’s get it in the open and talk about it.
He also went on to indicate that no one within the 49ers’ brass has confronted him about issues within the locker room.
This is a story that isn’t going to die down any time soon, so expect more updates in the not-so-distant future.
