Jerry Jones publicly buries the hatchet with Roger Goodell, as only he can

Grandson of Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys , John Stephen Jones, lands two offers

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell haven’t exactly been BFFs recently. A couple of contentious legal battles has been the wedge driving these two apart in recent times (more on that here), but on Wednesday Jones buried the hatchet in a public setting, as only he can.

The two powerful men were on hand to help announce the 2018 NFL Draft Legacy Project in a groundbreaking ceremony at Arlington Workman Junior High School.

At the podium during this event, Jones hit us with one of his famous Jonesisms, making it clear the past is in the past.

How sweet.

Clearly, Jones is ready to move on after losing the power struggle between himself and Goodell. This is an illustration of the owner capitulating to the collective desire of his peers after he attempted somewhat of a coup against Goodell recently.

Now all eyes are on the future, as the NFL draft takes center stage on Thursday in the house that Jerry built.
