Tony Romo may not be ready to go any time soon. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was quoted on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas saying that he doesn’t know when the quarterback will be ready to return.

This might be the best news for the Cowboys this season. The offense seems to have found its rhythm with Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott leading it. And as Prescott continues to grow, the Cowboys could continue to see expansion of his role within the offense.

And in reality, the Cowboys may already be leaning in the direction of keeping Prescott under center for the remainder of the season (more on that here).

Bringing Romo back would just be putting in a quarterback who isn’t 100 percent healthy and would have to develop chemistry with all of his wide receivers again.

Even if it means he won’t suit up this season, the Cowboys should leave Romo on the sideline until he’s 100 percent healthy.
