WATCH: ‘Jeopardy!’ contestant strikes out with brutal response to Jackie Robinson question

Wednesday was Jackie Robinson Day, so it wasn’t surprising that a “Jeopardy!” contestant was faced with a relatively easy answer with “Who is Jackie Robinson?” as the correct question.

Unfortunately, things didn’t work out well for her.

The answer to the question was, “One of the topics covered in a Major League Baseball course at Arizona State is this player who broke the color barrier in 1947.”

Check out this cringe-worthy exchange, as this collegiate “Jeopardy” contestant confused Babe Ruth with Robinson.

Worst “Jeopardy!” response ever? Maybe.

You’d be hard pressed to find any sports fan who doesn’t know that Robinson is the person who broke the color barrier. He’s one of the most famous American sports heroes in history for just that reason.
