Jared Goff and his Detroit Lions earned their long-awaited first win Sunday against the division rival Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
At 0-10-1 on the campaign heading into Week 13, it was a much-needed victory for the struggling former first-round pick and his team. It also came in walk-off fashion with Goff hitting Amon-Ra St. Brown for a touchdown as time expired.
At pretty much that exact moment, Jared Goff’s girlfriend of a few years was on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit set for a shoot. Check out Christen Harper as she reacted to her lesser half winning his first game as a member of the Lions. It happened in real time. And it was all sorts of great.
“You guys, this is their first win, like this is crazy. Oh my god, this is gonna make me cry,” Christen Harper said as she first learned about the win.
That’s just wholesome stuff right there. She was genuinely excited about Goff and his Lions coming away with the victory.
For the couple, this is pretty awesome stuff. They were first linked to one another back in January of 2019 when Jared Goff was in the midst of leading this then-Los Angeles Rams team to the Super Bowl. In fact, she played a big role in helping him overcome what was an ugly loss to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in the big game.
Since then, Goff has seen his professional career go on a downward trajectory. That included him being dealt from the Rams to Detroit as part of a package for Matthew Stafford this past offseason.
The former No. 1 pick would then start 0-10-1 in his career with the Lions before Sunday’s huge win over the Vikings. Obviously, Christen Harper was really happy about that end result.
