The Jacksonville Jaguars did not wait long to run up the card to the podium for Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey, who is the fifth pick of the 2016 NFL Draft.

This is a huge get for Jacksonville, who never expected Ramsey to make it to them in the draft.

Ramsey figures to play a lot immediately, as the Jaguars had one of the NFL’s worst passing defenses during the 2015 season.

He’ll also be tested a lot, as the Jaguars will get two games a year against Andrew Luck, T.Y. Hilton the Indianapolis Colts, Brock Osweiler, DeAndre Hopkins and the Houston Texans, as well as last year’s No. 2 pick Marcus Mariotta and his Tennessee Titans.

His natural position is cornerback, but Ramsey has the physical nature to allow him to play safety if need be. He’ll likely see the best receiving threat of whoever the opponent is, whether it’s a physical receiver/tight end, or a speed based slot receiver.
