Earlier in Wednesday, the Arizona Cardinals announced that star pass rusher J.J. Watt would miss Thursday’s game against the Green Bay Packers after suffering a shoulder injury in Week 7.

Unfortunately, reports are coming out later in the day indicating that Watt will miss the remainder of the season and will undergo shoulder surgery.

We absolutely hate to speculate, but one has to wonder whether this spells the end of Watt’s Hall of Fame worthy career in the NFL.

The 32-year-old three-time Defensive Player of the Year has seen his career derailed by injuries in recent seasons. In fact, J.J. Watt has missed 32 games since the start of the 2016 season. That came after the Wisconsin product played in all 16 games each of his first five seasons in the NFL.

Throughout his career, the dynamite pass rusher has recorded 292 quarterback hits, 102 sacks, 26 forced fumbles and two interceptions.
