The Cleveland Browns are keeping everyone in the dark regarding who they’ll select No. 1 overall in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft
One day before the event, it’s being reported that first-year general manager John Dorsey hasn’t even told head coach Hue Jackson who he plans on selecting. This comes on the heels of reports suggesting that the Browns themselves have cooled on USC’s Sam Darnold and aren’t likely to select Wyoming product Josh Allen No. 1 overall.
However, Darnold himself might have an inkling as to what direction Cleveland will go. In a video by NFL Media, the former Trojan is seen picking out his draft day attire for the annual event in Dallas. Said video includes Donald opting for a brown tie (watch here).
Read into that what you want. Darnold could have gone blue or green to represent the Giants or Jets. Both would have been more than reasonable. Instead, he went with brown. This could very well be an indication that Darnold thinks he’ll be drafted No. 1 overall to the Browns. Then again, he just might like that color.
