The Indianapolis Colts activated All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson off the reserve/COVD-19 list Monday.

Nelson was put on the list late last week for being a close contact to fellow lineman Eric Fisher, who contracted the virus. Fisher remains on the COVID list while still on the physically unable to perform list, recovering from January surgery to repair a torn Achilles.

Nelson, 25, has played in and started all 48 games for the Colts since they took him No. 6 overall in the 2018 draft. He is a three-time All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection.

Nelson has been limited as he recovers from right foot surgery earlier this month.

The Colts also put offensive tackle Sam Tevi on injured reserve due to a torn ACL he sustained Friday in the preseason finale against the Detroit Lions. The Colts signed Tevi in the offseason after a four-year run with the Los Angeles Chargers. He played in 58 games (44 starts) for the Chargers.

The team also reportedly released safety Sean Davis, whom the Colts signed in April. He played in 64 games (42 starts) for the Pittsburgh Steelers since being selected in the second round of the 2016 draft out of Maryland.
