The Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers are developing quite the rivalry these days. No other teams can compete with these two juggernauts, which have been going head-to-head in the NBA Finals three years running.
Now imagine, if you will, that you’re a Warriors fan and your husband/wife/partner is loyally dedicated to the Cavaliers. Our first thought on the matter is that you and your significant other better have an airtight relationship, because that kind of conflict can trigger some stuff.
Well, it just so happens that this is an issue Ohio native Blake Collier is very familiar with.
He and his wife, a native of California, have been doing something pretty interesting with Christmas trees the past three years running to show their competitive spirit.

“We’re both big NBA fans, but she’s from California and I’m from Ohio, so we’ve been rivals the past few seasons,” Collier said. “I decorated the Cavs tree just for fun, and my girlfriend saw it and wanted to one-up me. Now my basement looks like this.”
Right now, it’s a pretty sure thing Blake is going to come out ahead in this marital head-to-head rivalry.
The Warriors currently hold a 3-0 lead over the Cavs, with Game 4 set to tip at 9 p.m. ET on Friday. This gives an exhausted LeBron James and Co. just one day of rest to collect themselves after a brutal loss in Game 3.
