The Houston Astros placed outfielder Kyle Tucker on the injured list due to health and safety protocols. Tucker missed Tuesday’s game because of illness and remained unavailable Wednesday.

Tucker, 24, is not reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 but the timing of his return to the active roster is unclear.

The team called up infielder Abraham Toro from Triple-A Sugar Land. Toro was 1-for-12 (.083) in six games for the Astros earlier this season.

Tucker, the No. 5 overall pick by Houston in 2015, is hitting .268 and has 13 home runs and 43 RBIs through 64 games this season.
