The New York Giants activated quarterback Davis Webb from the practice squad on Saturday, a move that indicates starter Daniel Jones could take the day off on Sunday in the regular-season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Win or lose, the Giants (9-6-1) are locked into the No. 6 in the NFC playoffs.

Veteran backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor could start in Philadelphia on Sunday, but the New York Post reported that it will be Webb, 27, who gets his first career start.

Webb, the Giants’ third-round draft pick in 2017, has appeared in one NFL regular-season game and has yet to throw a pass.

The Giants also activated defensive lineman Jack Heflin from the practice squad. Heflin, 24, appeared in four games last season with the Green Bay Packers, making one tackle.
