Georgia QB Jake Fromm suffers ankle injury in SEC title game

During the second quarter of Saturday’s SEC Championship Game, Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm suffered an ankle injury.

The injury took place midway through the quarter as Fromm was taken down to the ground.

Fromm remained on the ground for a couple of minutes with trainers attending him. He eventually was able to leave the field of play under his own power. Backup quarterback Stetson Bennett replaced Fromm.

The starter was able to come back into the game with his ankle heavily taped. He then threw a brutal interception near the end of the second quarter.
