Georgia LBs Robert Beal, Brenton Cox arrested on marijuana charges

The Georgia Bulldogs have yet another off-field incident to deal with, as linebackers Robert Beal and Brenton Cox were arrested on marijuana charges Tuesday, per Seth Emerson of The Athletic.

Per Emerson, they were arrested with less than an once of marijuana, which is a misdemeanor charge. Cox was released from Athens-Clarke County Jail just minutes before Beal late Tuesday afternoon.

Cox was a five-star outside linebacker recruit last year and showed some of his potential last year as a freshman, tallying 20 tackles, two for a loss, and a sack.

Beal appeared in seven games last year as a redshirt freshman, tallying 15 tackles and one sack.
