Free agent bust Ladarius Green released by the Steelers

In not so surprising news, the Pittsburgh Steelers have released tight end Ladarius Green after one season, according to NFL’s Ian Rapoport.

Green’s stint in Pittsburgh was a huge bust. The easy math in the above tweet shows that Green pocketed $1 million for each game he played last season.

The 26-year-old tight end was released with a “failed physical” designation according to the team’s official website. Green dealt with the lingering effects from concussions that caused him to miss 10 games in 2016.

Prior to signing with the Steelers, Green spent four seasons playing with the then San Diego Chargers. He was an original fourth-round pick from back in 2012.

Considering his current health status, Green is going to be hard-pressed to draw any attention on the free agent market.
