Former Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Chuck Noll Dies at 82

Legendary Hall of Fame head coach Chuck Noll has passed away at the age of 82. Noll led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowl championships over the course of a six-year span in the 1970’s.¬†

According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Noll’s wife found him unresponsive earlier Friday evening at their home in¬†Sewickley, PA.

His wife, Marianne, found him unresponsive at 9:45 p.m. and called 911. Paramedics pronounced him dead 10 minutes later.

Noll coached the Steelers for 23 years, finishing with a 209-156-1 record. He is considered one of the greatest NFL head coaches of all time.

Noll is survived by his wife, son and two grandchildren.
