Some incredibly sad news here. Former Temple linebacker Adrian Robinson Jr. passed away Saturday night at the age of just 25.
Robinson’s agency, Symmetry, confirmed the news on Sunday morning:
“It deeply saddens all of us to share with you that Adrian Robinson Jr. passed away last night at the age of 25. Adrian was a beloved father, son, brother, friend and teammate. We ask that you please respect his family’s privacy during this difficult time, and especially keep his daughter Avery Marie in your prayers. Thank you for all of your support and consideration.”
The cause of death is unknown.
Robinson was an undrafted free agent of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2012. He played in 12 games that season, mostly on special teams. Robinson then played in 10 games for three different teams in 2013 before sitting out the entire 2014 season.
A native of Harrisburg, Pa., Robinson leaves behind a young daughter.
We will have more information on this sad news when it becomes available. For now, our thoughts go out to Robinson’s family and friends.
