It’s not something we see every day. An open house leading to shots being fired in the direction of people actually looking to purchase a home.

However, this is what allegedly happened at the Georgia estate of former NBA player and two-time champion Shannon Brown.

The story is crazy.

TMZ Sports notes that two people entered Brown’s residence, which had a for sale sign. After letting the couple in the house, Brown confronted them. According to the allegations, he agreed to let them go before firing 5-6 shots in their direction.

“The spokesperson says when cops investigated, they found one shell casing in the area — and eventually arrested the former NBA player for aggravated assault,” the report notes.

It’s not exactly known what led to Brown firing the shots. But according to the Tyrone Police Department, the couple was said to be simply house hunting.

Brown suited up in the NBA from 2006-15, averaging 7.6 points in 408 career games. He won back-to-back titles with Kobe Bryant and the Lakers in 2009 and 2010.
