The Sacramento Kings have promoted one of their former star players, Peja Stojokovic, to the position of assistant general manager under general manager Vlade Divac.
The three-time All-Star who was once one of the most feared three-point shooters in the NBA has been with the Kings in a front-office capacity since 2015. Previously, he had been serving as director of player personnel and development.
As noted by Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee, Stojokovic will now be in charge of the team’s G League team, the Stockton Kings. He’ll also continue assisting in his role as a talent evaluator for the Kings.
The team’s other assistant general managers, Brandon Williams and Ken Catanella, will continue without any changes to their roles within the organization, per Jones.
