Former Jacksonville Jaguars star linebacker Telvin Smith shocked the football world when he announced his retirement at the young age of 28 last July.

Smith was in the midst of a heralded career with Jacksonville. His decision to hang up the cleats came as a big surprise.

Now, the former Florida State star is seemingly in trouble with the law. According to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco, Smith has been arrested in Florida on charges of unlawful sexual activity with minors.

A local SWAT team was called to the scene, as evidenced by this photo.

Smith was ultimately taken into custody and faces a bond of $50,000. This is obviously a major legal problem for a player who starred in Duval from 2014-18 and has been on the radar of authorities in the past.
