It’s no secret that the Florida Gators struggle to produce points. Heading into Saturday’s game against the UAB Blazers, the Gators featured the 116th-ranked scoring offense in the nation…out of 129 FBS teams.

So it’s no surprise that the Gators punt a lot, given that evidence. But here’s a bit more, just in case the offensive doldrums weren’t readily apparent to all of us.

Former NFL head coach Jeff Fisher would be so proud.

Thankfully Florida is winning this weekend. Because if the Gators couldn’t beat UAB then we’re not sure if we could endorse them as a real SEC team.

On a different note, given the awful time the Gators have had offensively in recent years, it’s no wonder offensive mastermind Chip Kelly is reportedly being strongly considered as the next head coach.
