Todd Frazier played with the Cincinnati Reds from 2011-2015. Monday marked the first return to the Great American Ballpark for Frazier, now a member of the New York Mets.
It was announced before the game that Frazier would receive a well earned video tribute, but the Cincinnati faithful didn’t exactly come out in droves to see it.
Must've been a really neat experience for Todd Frazier to get honored by his old ball club in front of zero fans pic.twitter.com/mGBMvgor8U

This is quite unfortunate.
Frazier was also a two-time All-Star for the Reds, who made the playoffs twice during his tenure with the team. He certainly deserved a nice tribute from more fans.
Unfortunately, it’s not surprising, at all. Cincinnati entered Monday’s game at 8-26, tied for the worst record in baseball. It’s hard for any team struggling that bad to draw big numbers of people to the game, regardless of who’s making his return.
