Ex-NFL player John Moffitt: ‘Women don’t know football’

John Moffitt

Many got upset this past week when Cam Newton laughed at the notion of a female reporter asking questions about route running. If that turned your screws, you might want to brace yourself, because what former NFL player John Moffitt has to say on the matter is slightly more caustic.

“Women don’t know football — most guys barely do,” Moffitt wrote. “Stop coming into male spaces and demanding respect… Just because networks like a sexy sideline reporter for you to look at doesn’t mean cam is sexist for questioning the authenticity of her game knowledge — he was laughing because she was fed that question like most of her kind are. If women are so knowledgeable with a game they can’t play let them do play by play or color commentary… Women don’t really know the game — they are incapable. Yet in this society where a women can do anything a man can do and men can do nothing this is a rock and a hard place.”

Tell us how you really feel.

It’s worth pointing out that this opinion comes from the same man who was arrested back in 2014 for battery and drug possession (pot, cocaine and ecstasy). He was also arrested back in 2012 for urinating on a car.

Moffitt quit the game of football back in 2013, saying he didn’t want to “risk health for money.” Then the former offensive lineman signed with the Philadelphia Eagles two years later (apparently in need of money) before being cut in September prior to the beginning of the season.
