Julian Edelman Tom Brady

For the second time in less than two months, the New England Patriots sent shock waves throughout the NFL world on Tuesday.

New England traded five-time Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers mere minutes after he told the team he was planning to come out of retirement.

It was a situation that escalated rather quickly. This also now means that Gronkowski will suit up with fellow former Patriots star Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.

The backdrop is real. Veteran receiver Julian Edelman now has to be feeling like he’s alone in New England after spending the better part of the past decade winning titles with Gronkowski and Brady.

Needless to say, the NFL world had its reactions to Tuesday’s news. Edelman was one of the primary focuses. It’s all sorts of glorious.
