
The Chengdu Hunters announced that head coach Xingrui “RUI” Wang will step down before the fifth Overwatch League season begins in April.
He will remain with the organization as an honorary advisor, the team posted Monday night on Twitter.
Today coach RUI officially steps down as Head Coach and Training Director and becomes the Honorary Adviser of Chengdu Hunters.
Endeavoring to form a brand new Hunters team, RUI has created the best results in Hunters’ history.

RUI, 31, has coached the Hunters on and off since November 2018.
According to reports, RUI cited health issues and a need to spend more time with family as the reasons behind his resignation.
The Hunters did not name a replacement but did announce the hiring of new assistant coach Jeong-min “Jfeel” Kim, who previously coached with the Shanghai Dragons and London Spitfire.
