Free agent linebacker Emmanuel Acho has NFL unemployment blues.
A special teams player the past two seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, the former Texas Longhorn isn’t one of the big prizes of the 2016 free agency class.
Still, he wishes at least one NFL team had put out an offer of employment by now as the calendar moves from the month of March into April. In fact, Acho wishes it so hard he put his desire for a new job into forming a song, complete with some hot keyboard action.

“My phone’s still not ringing, is my service fine?” Acho wonders. “I just checked Twitter, another linebacker signed.”
While he did enjoy some playing time in Philadelphia the past couple of seasons, Acho isn’t adverse to a change of address this upcoming NFL season.
“Maybe Houston or the Colts,” Acho sings. “If only I was as fast as Usain Bolt.”
Getting on with the Texans could prove difficult. That squad is loaded at the linebacker spot, but perhaps the Indianapolis Colts should give Acho an invite soon to see if he’s worth signing.
Wherever he lands, we hope Acho brings his keyboard with him and writes a new song about his new digs.
