Plenty of San Francisco 49ers’ fans aren’t fond of team CEO Jed York and long for the day where he no longer runs the team. One relatively unexpected person can be included in that is York’s cousin, Lisa DeBartolo.
Since Sunday’s loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills, two local reporters penned pieces slamming the 49ers. Ann Killion of The San Francisco Chronicle wrote that “Losing has become 49ers new normal,” while Lowell Cohn of The Santa Rosa Press Democrat opined simply that “Jed York has to go.”
Both of those articles were tweeted out from an account apparently belonging to DeBartolo. The links have since been deleted, but not before being screen grabbed by Jennifer Lee Chan of Ninersnation.com.

Well, this may make for an awkward discussion or two at Thanksgiving next month.
DeBartolo is the daughter of former 49ers owner, Eddie DeBartolo. Following his involvement in a corruption case surrounding former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards, DeBartolo sold the team to his sister Denise York, and her husband, John. Denise still officially owns the franchise, but ceded control of the 49ers to her son, Jed, late in 2008.
