Before landing in Philly via trade, Green-Beckham was with the Tennessee Titans for the 2015 season.
Once thought of as a potential Calvin Johnson clone by some talent evaluators, Green-Beckham has struggled with the little things that make talented players great. He came into the NFL as an extremely raw route runner, and that hasn’t changed in the past two seasons.
In 31 career games, including 12 starts, Green-Beckham has caught 68 passes for 941 yards and six touchdowns. Those aren’t horrible numbers. The Eagles just have better players that need to see the ball, including free agent signings Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffery.
It’s likely Green Beckham will get another shot at making an NFL roster this summer.
However, for a man as physically gifted as he is, the 6-foot-5, 225-pound receiver has disappointed early in his career. Green-Beckham really needs to find himself a good tutor to develop into an elite player in the NFL.
