At the end of September, we passed along a report that the NFL had its first arrest-free month in six years. After the latest news that Dorial Green-Beckham was, in fact, arrested on September 30, it’s a shame we must report that long streak is still intact.

According to Jason Wolf of The Tennessean, Green-Beckham was arrested after it was discovered he had an unpaid parking ticket when police pulled him over for speeding.

“Green-Beckham was pulled over Wednesday night on Highway 60 in Missouri for driving 65 mph in a 55 mph zone,” Wolf reports. “The officer ran the receiver’s license and discovered an outstanding warrant for speeding in Osage Beach, Mo.”

The rookie receiver was let go after he paid $92.48 to cover the outstanding warrant. The cops that pulled him over this time around let him off easy with a written warning, per the report.

While it’s a shame the six-year streak still lives on, at least this latest NFL player arrest was for something as trivial as minor speeding. Green Beckham, as many are likely aware, came into the NFL with some red flags for off-field issues. Despite being a first-round talent, he fell into the second round, where the Titans were only too happy to pick him up.

He’s already made an impact on the field, catching two touchdowns on his three receptions for a total of 35 yards. Provided he stays out of off-field trouble, his production on the field should skyrocket in the coming years.

The Titans, coming off an early bye week, will host the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m. ET.
