Donovan Mitchell asks people to stop going out as he remains in quarantine for coronavirus

Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell is under quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, but many Americans are not taking the coronavirus pandemic seriously.

Images and videos of large crowds gathering at restaurants, bars and beaches have been circulating the past couple of days, even since the federal government has started cracking down.

Speaking to that on Monday night, Mitchell asked people to “help others and stay inside” to help flatten the curve and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

On Monday, President Donald Trump urged all Americans to abstain from gathering in groups of 10 or more people. Meanwhile, some locations are under lockdown, such as San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area, which ordered a “shelter in place” to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
