Dolphins hold private workout for Kyler Murray

After Oklahoma held its pro day on Wednesday, most NFL teams moved on. An exception was the Miami Dolphins, who wanted a better look at Kyler Murray.

Gil Brandt of NFL.com reported that while most of the NFL teams were on to Clemson, the Dolphins stayed behind to work Murray out.

Barring a drastic change, Miami will have to find a new quarterback this offseason. While Ryan Tannehill era isn’t officially over, all indications are that it will be soon. The Dolphins also have reported interest in free agent Teddy Bridgewater.

So, the team’s interest in Murray makes sense. The question is, is he a realistic target?

Miami is picking No. 13 in the draft. It’s highly unlikely that Murray would fall that far. Murray has drawn reported interest from at least the Oakland Raiders (who pick No. 4) and the Arizona Cardinals (who pick No. 1).

So, if the Dolphins like what they see and want to land Murray on draft day, they’ll need to first make a big trade.
