Bucs HC already booted ‘multiple players’ out of camp practice for brawling

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a rule this summer during training camp in which head coach Dirk Koetter is ejecting players for fighting.

You can’t swing or you get kicked out,” Koetter has said, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.

Well, he’s already had to enforce that rule on “multiple players,” per Laine, after a series of brawls broke out on Sunday.

Of course, the Bucs aren’t the only team that has dealt with training camp fights already.

Given the disciplinary issues Koetter had with his team last year, however, it’s not surprising he’s taken this approach. He absolutely needs to gain full control over his players, some of whom took the fighting to the other team during the regular season in 2017.

This is a make-or-break season for Koetter, who is one of the coaches who opens the campaign already on the hot seat.
