The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs have done some big time work over the past week or so.

It started with Kansas City signing former league MVP Patrick Mahomes to a contract that could pay the quarterback north of $500 million. Kansas City then dropped a huge sum of cash on star defensive tackle Chris Jones.

Could another move be on the way?

Baltimore Ravens star Matt Judon seems to suggest he could be headed to the Chiefs

After news of Jones’ extension broke on Tuesday, Judon sent out this tweet to Chiefs star safety Tyrann Mathieu. It’s extremely interesting given where we are on the NFL off-season calendar.

Asking a Chiefs player how the real estate is in Kansas City. Nope, that’s not going to create any panic in Baltimore.

For his part, Judon recently signed his franchise tag tender with the Ravens. He’s slated to earn just north of $16.8 million in 2020. Obviously, the star pass rusher is pining for a long-term deal.

Matthew Judon’s next contract will be huge

A former mid-round pick out of Grand Valley State, the 27-year-old Judon has been brilliant throughout his career. The small-school product has recorded a whopping 72 quarterback hits to go with 24.5 sacks in the three seasons he’s been a full-time starter in Baltimore.

While the Pro Bowler wants to get paid on a long-term deal, other extensions could complicate things even further. Myles Garrett’s reported five-year, $125 million deal with the Cleveland Browns adds another layer to this.

Whether Kansas City can even make a play for Judon remains to be seen. After all, it has dropped nearly $600 million in cash on two players over the past week-plus.
