When MLB games end, it’s customary for teams to post the final score on Twitter, regardless of the result. But the Detroit Tigers went another way after a blowout loss.
The Tigers were humilated by the Oakland Athletics on Thursday, losing 17-3. Rather than post the final score, they gave us a picture of an adorable dog.
It’s tough (though judging by some of the responses, not impossible) to be too mad after seeing that picture.
The loss clearly didn’t do anything to dull Detroit’s sense of humor. In fact, it might have made it even better. If nothing else, the Tigers know how to laugh at themselves. For their sake, we hope they don’t have to prove it after losses like this too often.
