DeSean Jackson impressing Eagles with mature approach

Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver DeSean Jackson

The Philadelphia Eagles made a trade during the offseason to re-acquire one of their former stars, and DeSean Jackson has done nothing but impress so far.

Speaking about the receiver on 94WIP Radio, Eagles executive Howie Roseman praised Jackson for his maturity and consistency.

“The thing about DeSean is that, all of us need time sometimes to mature,” Roseman said. “He’s got a family, he’s got two kids, and he’s been here every day in the offseason program.”

Since being traded to Philly, Jackson has made it known he’d like to finish his career where it all started.

Before he signed with the Washington Redskins in 2014, Jackson had already proven himself as one of the NFL’s most dynamic deep threats. In six seasons with Philadelphia, he caught 356 passes for 6,117 yards and 32 touchdowns.

A couple years back, he signed a lucrative deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but never was able to sync up with Jameis Winston. As a result, his productivity dropped significantly. Now that he’s back in Philly with Carson Wentz as his quarterback, we expect Jackson’s numbers to jump in 2019.
