Tom Brady is set to ink a free agency deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Derek Jeter and Bill Gates may have had something to do with that decision.
Scott Hanson of NFL Network shared Tuesday night that Brady had dinner with Jeter, Gates, and Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik on Sunday night in Tampa ahead of free agency.
Getting the lay of the land from the likes of Jeter, Gates and Vinik is certainly one way to do it. Never let it be said Brady doesn’t have friends in high places.
It’s going to be fascinating to see what the future Hall of Famer does in Tampa Bay this year. By ditching the New England Patriots for the Bucs, he certainly hit the upgrade button in terms of the players around him.
