Portland Trail Blazers superstar guard Damian Lillard had a huge game Saturday night, scoring 59 points against the Utah Jazz. It was a career-high mark for Lillard, who not surprisingly received the game ball after helping Portland take down Utah, 101-86.
However, another player hit a milestone on Saturday night — Jazz forward Joe Johnson eclipsed the 20,000 points mark on his career. With 20,006 all-time points in his NBA career, Johnson is now the No. 42-ranked player in the history of the Association in points scored.
Out of respect for Johnson, Lillard gave him his game ball.
Lillard said he let the Jazz have the game ball tonight for Joe Johnson, who surpassed 20,000 points tonight.

That’s just a classy gesture by the young man, showing respect to a veteran who has been doing big things in the NBA for a long time. Of course, that Lillard has a big heart is something we already knew.
