Dallas Goedert signs four-year extension with Philadelphia Eagles

Tight end Dallas Goedert was set to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this NFL season. Not anymore. Today, the Philadelphia Eagles announced a four-year extension keeping their star tight end in Philly through 2025.

Adam Schefter reports the extension is worth $59 million, with $35.7 million guaranteed.

This comes after they traded Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals after nine seasons with the team.

Goedert joined the team in 2018 as the 49th overall selection in the NFL Draft. Since the Ertz trade, Goedert has stepped into the starting tight end role and has hauled in 29 receptions for 429 receiving yards and two scores. He ranks second on the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards, behind rookie stud receiver DeVonta Smith.

Dallas Goedert stats: 166 receptions, 1,894 receiving yards, 14 touchdown catches in 51 career games.

The new contract places Goedert as one of the top-three in salary among NFL tight ends and locks in another reliable target for quarterback Jalen Hurts to grow with over the next several seasons.
