Dakota Dozier released from hospital after COVID-19 bout

Minnesota Vikings offensive lineman Dakota Dozier, who was hospitalized due to a bout with COVID-19 last week, has been released from the hospital, NFL Network reported.

Dozier, 30, was admitted with breathing issues Tuesday despite being fully vaccinated, per multiple reports.

Dozier went on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Nov. 5.

“He’s stable now, but it was scary,” head coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday.

In all, 29 members of the organization had to be placed in COVID-19 protocol as close contacts as a result of their exposure to Dozier.

The 30-year-old Dozier is in his seventh NFL season and third with the Vikings. He has appeared in three games (no starts) this season but started all 16 and played 100 percent of the snaps in 2020 for Minnesota.
