According to the Chicago Tribune, third baseman, and Chicago’s top prospect, Kris Bryant has been promoted to Triple-A Iowa after making a big impression in his first half of play.
He batted .355 with 22 bombs and 59 RBI’s in 68 games in Double-A.
In that first half, Bryant hit .395 with five doubles, three bombs and seven RBI’s. He also recently won the Southern League Home Run Derby tallying 16 homers.
The 22 year-old was the second overall draft pick in the 2013 amateur draft and he joins Javier Baez to be the top prospects on the team. He puts an Iowa Cubs jersey on Thursday.
