The Columbus Crew acquired forward Christian Ramirez from Scottish side Aberdeen F.C. on Thursday, signing the former MLS vet through the 2024 season with an option for 2025.

The Crew did not disclose the transfer fee and his addition to the roster is pending receipt of his international transfer certificate.

Ramirez, 31, scored 10 goals in 45 appearances in the top-flight Scottish Premiership.

“Christian is an experienced player who has shown the ability to score goals throughout his career,” Columbus Crew general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said in a news release. “His addition to our roster will provide additional depth and strengthen our corps of attacking players, and we are looking forward to having Christian and his family join us in Columbus.”

Ramirez tallied 35 goals and 10 assists in 105 career MLS regular-season matches with Minnesota United, Los Angeles FC and Houston Dynamo.

Ramirez has two caps with the U.S. men’s national team, scoring a goal in his January 2019 debut.
