Crazy stat shows how dominant Raiders are in final minutes of games

Derek Carr

In today’s version of “Crazy Stat of the Day,” we bring you the 11-3 Oakland Raiders’ late-game production.

While the Raiders’ defense has drawn heavy fire for its play during some  games and the offense catches heat due to inconsistent playcalling, no team is more clutch in crunch time.

Quarterback Derek Carr has begun to be tagged with the clutch label himself, consistently leading the Raiders on game-winning drives in the fourth quarter this season.

Call them the Cardiac Kids if you want, but one can’t complain that Raider games aren’t exciting enough, that’s for sure. These late-game heroics on both sides of the ball have propelled a one-time NFL doormat to clinch their first playoff berth in 14 seasons.

And with many of the Raiders’ core playmakers being 25 or under, the team seems primed to become perennial Super Bowl contenders.

It is definitely a great time to be a Raider fan.
