Cowboys’ Dak Prescott is sore, might not practice this week

Dak Prescott coin toss

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is dealing with a sprain of the AC joint in his throwing shoulder.

An injury that would normally sideline quarterbacks for multiple weeks did not force Prescott to miss a single game. However, the signal caller and his team struggled big time in a 17-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

With Dallas reeling heading into Week 17, embattled head coach Jason Garrett noted that Prescott is “sore” and does not yet know if the Pro Bowler will practice this week.

Prescott completed 25-of-44 passes for 265 yards without a touchdown or an interception in Sunday’s devastating loss to the Eagles. He seemed to be impacted by the injury.

This is no small thing. Dallas still has a chance to earn the NFC East title if the team takes out Washington and watches the Giants defeat Philadelphia this coming Sunday.

Regardless of what happens in that other divisional matchup, Dallas needs Prescott as close to 100% as possible heading into Week 17. It doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case.
