Clippers sign guard Xavier Moon to hardship exemption

The Los Angeles Clippers signed guard Xavier Moon to a 10-day contract Sunday on the NBA’s hardship exemption.

In 14 games with the Clippers’ G League affiliate in Ontario (Calif.), the 26-year-old from Goodwater, Ala., averaged 12.4 points with 4.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists.

In two seasons at Morehead State (2015-16, 2016-17), Moon averaged 12.8 points with 2.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 67 games. Moon is also a three-time MVP of the Canadian Elite Basketball League and led the Edmonton Stingers to the CEBL title in each of the last two seasons.
